Phibro-Tech is proud to announce that it will begin offering ACQ on June 1, 2007.

Phibro-Tech, the copper chemical company, has been a supplier to the wood treatment industry for over 30 years. During this time, we have supplied copper oxide, copper sulfate, copper carbonate and copper monoethanolamine carbonate (CMC), the Part I component of ACQ to both wood preservative manufacturers and wood treaters.

Phibro-Tech has CMC production plants in both Sumter, SC and Joliet, IL These two facilities has been in operations for over 3 years and operate under three Phibro-Tech patents, which provide a world class, efficient process for producing ACQ. The ACQ product will be produced to the highest quality standards in the industry

Phibro-Tech's product PHIBROWOOD-CQ, is EPA registered and meets all AWPA standards. Having a proven capacity of over 150 million pounds per year, Phibro-Tech has the experience, state-of-the-art equipment and personnel to service all your treatment plants.

ACQ is a copper plus quaternary amine wood preservative. This copper based preservative is effective against wood decay, termites and rot. It can be used for both above and below ground. It has been used in North America, Europe and Asia for more than 15 years.

Further, Phibro-Tech’s expertise in copper chemistry and formulation technologies has led to over a dozen patents being filed in the wood preservatives area. Phibro-Tech has developed a next generation of products for wood preservation that are less expensive and more environmentally benign. A focused effort continues in this area.
