PTI R&D OBTAINS ISO 17025:2005 ACCREDITATION, PASSES EPA INSPECTION

SUMTER, South Carolina, May 25, 2007 -- Phibro-Tech, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Charles H. Bendheim Memorial Laboratory (CHBML) has demonstrated compliance with ANS/ISO/IEC Standard 17025:2005 and has been accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) for the following wood preservative test methods: AWPA E-11, E-12, E-17 and E-20. Effective immediately the laboratory will begin performing these studies on a contractual basis and is one of only a few testing facilities in the industry to be accredited for this standard.

Also, the CHBML successfully passed its EPA inspection on May 15-16, 2007 with no adverse findings. The facility has been GLP compliant since 1998, conducting product chemistry studies and other EPA-related research projects for Phibro-Tech and more than twenty external clients.
